Intranet Policy for Church of God World Missions

  • Purpose

The Intranet Policy for Church of God World Missions (hereinafter referred to as “COGWM”) outlines the guidelines and expectations for the use of COGWM’s intranet platform. This policy aims to ensure the security, confidentiality, and appropriate use of COGWM’s intranet resources by all employees, contractors, volunteers, and other authorized users.

  • Policy Statement

2.1. Access and Use

2.1.1. Access to COGWM’s intranet is granted to authorized individuals only. Users must obtain proper credentials and permission from the Information Technology (IT) department to access the intranet.

2.1.2. Intranet access is exclusively for work-related purposes. Users are not allowed to engage in personal or non-work-related activities on the intranet.

2.2. Security

2.2.1. Users must take responsibility for the security of their login credentials (comprising a username and password) and should not share them with others.

2.2.2. Users must promptly report any suspected security breaches, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities on the intranet to the IT department.

2.2.3. The installation of any unauthorized software or tools on COGWM’s intranet is strictly prohibited.

2.3. Data Privacy and Confidentiality

2.3.1. Users are required to handle all content within COGWM’s intranet, including documents, emails, and messages, with the utmost confidentiality. Unauthorized sharing or disclosure of sensitive information is strictly prohibited.

2.3.2. Users must not download, share, or upload any confidential or copyrighted materials without proper authorization.

2.4. Content Management

2.4.1. Users are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of content they create or upload to the intranet. Misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content is not allowed.

2.4.2. COGWM reserves the right to monitor and moderate intranet content to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

2.5. Respectful Communication

2.5.1. Users must maintain respectful and professional communication when using intranet messaging or collaboration tools. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive language is strictly prohibited.

2.6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

2.6.1. All users of COGWM’s intranet must adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to copyright, intellectual property, and data protection laws.

2.7. Consequences of Violation

2.7.1. Violation of this intranet policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, as well as potential legal consequences.

  • Reporting Violations

3.1. If any user becomes aware of a violation of this policy, they should promptly report it to their supervisor or the IT department.

  • Review and Updates

4.1. This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to reflect changes in technology, security threats, or organizational needs.

By accessing and using COGWM’s intranet, all users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this Intranet Policy. Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action. COGWM is committed to maintaining a secure and productive intranet environment for its mission, employees, and partners.
